My name is Catherine Collins and I am so excited to start this Counselling Journey with you!
I started with my Psychology journey right out of school. I studied Psychology and Sociology at PUKKE and graduated in 2017. I got accepted for my Honour’s degree in Psychology in 2018 at UKZN and graduated with a Golden Key (Top 15 in the class). After my Honour’s year I did not get accepted to study Masters in Clinical Psychology, which made me search for alternatives to gain the necessary experience. I came across this course and took a leap of faith. This counselling course empowered me immensely. Through this I have built my confidence, gained a deeper understanding of Counselling and in a sense found my calling in life. My ultimate goal is to open up my own Private Practice and in the deep future complete my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology.
I am very passionate about helping adults and elderly people grow in any and every aspect of their lives. My aim is to empower anyone who crosses my path by guiding them to take those difficult steps towards self-discovery. Through my own personal Counselling Journey I have come to believe that Mental Health is a priority to a better life. I would be honored to help you grow and flourish through the difficult times that life presents. I aspire to provide a space where you feel safe enough to express yourself and show the deepest part of yourself that you tend to hide from the rest of the world. If this is the kind of space you need please feel free to book your first session.
I like to think of myself as someone who is caring, easy to talk to, open to new ideas and experiences. I love spending time with my loved ones – which include my dogs. My hobbies include reading, watching series and drinking a lot of coffee.
I hope you will have the confidence and trust in me to walk this beautiful journey with you.
My favorite quote, which has become my mantra over these past few years:
