NBI® for Businesses and Teams

We have a variety of tools that can be beneficial for your business, team, classroom, management structure and organisations.

NBI® creativity style

This profile provides insight into the creative thinking preferences and process. It is not just the Right Brain that is creative, we are all created to be creative and are born with the ability to create and adapt.  Our exposure to factors like our environment, our upbringing, education and peer pressure causes us to suppress, forget and sometimes even lose some of our creative abilities. This Instrument identifies the type of creativity you are born to use and apply in life.

NBI® skills instrument

This instrument identifies the personal skills of an individual. Skills are not something we are born with but, something we learn. We acquire skills in various areas of our lives on a continual basis but the skills we do acquire are not always in line with our thinking preferences.  This tool might highlight a conflict between your skills profile and your thinking preference.  You might have the skill to successfully take care of a specific process without having the thinking preference for it or you might have the thinking preference for it but not the necessary skills to execute it successfully. i.e. you may be trained as an accountant with the required skills for the field without the actual preference for doing the work of an accountant. If the correlation between the preference profile and skills profile is low it may result in internal conflict and a lack of passion and energy to be sustainable in the execution of the skills. Discovering how skills and thinking preferences correlate or differ can make all the difference in finding the fulfilment and proficiency you are looking for.

NBI® personal negativity instrument

The NBI® Personal Negativity instrument will give you greater insight into the origin of your negative thinking. It identifies the processes most likely to cause your negativity and to block your happiness and success. Once you (and the organisation) have identified the essence of the negativity the right solutions become very possible. It will provide perspective into your negative thinking and pinpoints the processes that are the most probable cause of your negativity which, in turn, is likely to be a barrier to effective communication, joy, relationships and sustainable success. The Adult Profile that measures your personal and general thinking preferences and your Personal Negativity Profile will differ.  You will notice a high negativity score in the quadrant(s) where your thinking preferences are low. Discovering your negativity profile will equip you with the ability to anticipate where stumbling blocks might be and will provide you with the insight to overcome them.

OWI® – Organisational Wellness Instrument

The general well-being of employees in the workplace is proven to be conducive and critical to the success of the organization. Organisations that are brave enough to venture into this arena, to firstly explore the experiences of individuals, and to progressively remediate the areas of concern, have discovered that the result of this bravery leads to phenomenal results and growth within the organisation.

Negative and disengaged employees who feel devalued and unaligned with the organisation tend to have a destructive impact on the realisation of organisational values and limits the potential, productivity and significant impact of the whole organisation.

The Organisational Wellness Instrument ® (OWI) is a diagnostic tool, developed in South Africa by Dr. Kobus Neethling. It provides you with up-to-date and easy-to read measures of the current situation or ‘state of play’ in your organisation – or any part of it. Unlike conventional organisational climate surveys, which are expensive, time consuming and rarely current, the OWI produces comprehensive reports within minutes of your employees completing the questionnaire on line.

The instrument is quick to administer with extremely responsive reporting results that plot each of the measured factors on a graph as positive or negative values. Positive values contribute to the wellness, creativity and sustainability of the environment and negative values will eventually destroy the environment if ignored.

The tool measures and accesses the ten most critical factors that determine the level of Organisational Wellness/Health which affects success, creativity, growth and sustainability within the organisation.

  1. Trust
  2. Learning
  3. Gratification
  4. Language
  5. Ownership
  6. Energy
  7. Change
  8. Interaction
  9. Creativity & Innovation
  10. Communication

Practically, the instrument calculates and compares upward and downward shifts in the above ten critical factors within departments, groups, units, and branches.

How does it work?

You choose the number of people to include in the survey process. You can choose the entire company or simply select a smaller sample. It is easy to use, easy to administer, quick to complete and very responsive in reporting results. Staff complete the questionnaire on-line at a time prescribed by you. It typically takes 10-15 minutes to complete. The results are available immediately after the profiles have been completed.

Once the survey has been completed, you can expect to:

  • Rapidly identify where improvements can be made
  • Identify strategies to address the problem areas
  • Target training and personal development to those people who are in areas of your business which are ‘below the line’
  • Have a base point from which all new initiatives can be measured to assess their value to each department, division or location
  • Unlock the necessary creativity through rebuilding organisational wellness, creating a ‘flowing ‘organisation versus a ‘stopping’ organisation
  • Enjoy success!

An organization that proves to be healthy in all ten measured areas will experience much more creativity, will be intuitive to change, will be vibrant and will experience sustainable growth.
