My name is Tuané Reynders and I am a passionate, enthusiastic and compassionate woman, who is driven to help each and every person that crosses my path to find their inner voice and strength in this world that tends to try and silence those qualities. I believe that, with the necessary guidance, we can all become the best versions of ourselves and conquer any and all of life’s challenges.
I finished my degree in Criminology and Psychology in 2018 and my Honours degree in Criminology in 2019, both at the University of Pretoria. I had the option to do my honours in either Psychology or Criminology and ended up doing my Honours in Criminology. However, after spending a year in the field I realised my desire to have a more direct involvement with individuals, in order to add value to their lives in a more tangible way; thus I started my Humanitas Counselling journey through Vita Nova.
Some of my best qualities include being results-orientated, hardworking and responsible. I consider myself able to easily interact with and relate to most individuals on different levels, as I have a deep appreciation and love for nature, people and the simpler things in life. Through these qualities, as well as applying my ever-evolving knowledge, I believe that I can contribute to bringing emotional healing to the individuals I work with.
I leave you with this quote from James Baldwin, as it resonates with my heart: ‘’Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced”.
