“Asking for help is a way of acknowledging your capacity to learn and grow”- Co-Star

I have always been interested in how people work and think. How they are affected by the world at large, and how they themselves effect the world. As such I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Classical Studies at Rhodes, followed by an entrepreneurship qualification at UCT, a Honours in Counselling Psychology with UNISA and a counselling course with Vita Nova. I plan to further my studies by doing a MA clinical Psychology. In learning the psychological theory, I have found a passion for helping others gain a better understanding of themselves, and those in their lives.

Psychology as a whole has provided me with a better understanding of me and my environments, which has led me to my own personal counselling. Through counselling I have been able to explore and understand myself in ways I may not have otherwise done. I hope to help others gain this kind of knowledge for themselves, in a safe and comfortable space. I believe that your feelings are valid and deserve exploration. That working through our stuff opens doors that might otherwise have been overlooked. I think it is brave to face yourself, as through self-reflection we unpack the good the bad and the ugly.

Counselling is to me a step toward the best version of yourself, a way in which we can all direct the power we have, and unleash the power we were unaware of. A journey I would like to take with you, that encourages growth.
