My name is Alta Ludik, I am a mother and a grandmother. Being a pre-school and primary school teacher for almost 30 years, allowed me to build up experiences with children from two to 13 years of age. I worked very closely with the children’s parents too and supported various cases when needed.
The past five years I have been in a facilitation and couching role to have practical training sessions with young adults from different cultures. These young adults were in different stages of their lives. Some were very young, and some were single parents. I also worked very closely with young adults in established families and with young adults who started their own businesses.
My core belief and passion are to empower the individual and families with the necessary guidance, knowledge and skills to develop and maintain healthy and strong values. I helped them to understand their relationship with themselves, each other and especially with their children. My approach is to evaluate the situation and then to put measurable goals for the individual and/ families. These goals are set out for the individual or families to achieve all in good time, using knowledge gained counselling techniques and suitable tools to support them.
With the Counselling course at Vita Nova, my experience and qualifications gained during my career, I am looking forward to supporting individuals and families with:
- Crisis Management
- Childhood Development
- Group work for families (new parents, single parents)
- Couple counselling
- Loss and Grief
“I believe that the best way to inspire a quality, or even a habit in our kids is to cultivate it in ourselves. This means that parenting is a constant journey of learning and growth, of looking outward, toward my children, to see the areas in which I need to work at improving myself.”
